Clinton Boone
Clint Boone- Chief Executive Officer of Root Wise (Consulting), Hemp Robotics, and Roo’s Botanicals, LLC.
Mr. Boone has been involved in farming since he was a child. Raised in Oregon, Farming was almost second nature to Clint. In fact, Mr. Boone was adaptable to the farming environment and quickly became a leader in the industry in Oregon in his twenties. In his early thirties he got involved in the medical marijuana business focusing on growing and dispensing and held ownership in a large chain of 13 dispensaries; during this period, he became an expert in plant growth, horticulture, strain development and yield development and THC maximization. He and his team have won multiple awards over the years and serve as a judge for the High Times for Industry quality for MMJ.
However, as Oregon added legislation and increased the availability of medical marijuana licenses and expanded into recreational uses of cannabis it was apparent to Mr. Boone that the market was not sustainable over the long term. He then shifted his business focuses to hemp. This transition was due to his understanding of the practical uses that Hemp provides and the impact those uses will have on our country. He considers hemp to be the backbone of our agricultural community and as such he believes it can impact the entire strata of humanity as a whole, and its impact will be unprecedented. Hemp is a high nutrient superfood, it has numerous industrial applications from a clean biofuel to its use as hempcrete, and numerous medical benefits still being discovered. Its applications in 50,000 products that include Housing, Food Clothing, medical supplements and powders indicated to him that this was the sustainable market for the future.
As he pivoted to industrial hemp he exited the MMJ Business and with his vast knowledge of growing techniques, yield improvements and strain development filed for multiple industry patents, and without consciously planning it became an educator, a coach and an advisor to other Farmers first throughout Oregon and then across the US and Canada. He used his vast knowledge to help farmers increase and improve their yields. In recent years he has become a consultant internationally for large hemp growers in multiple countries throughout the world from Brazil to Armenia. Today he is often on a video conference coordinating farmers processes and coaching them through the growing cycle. He counsels for large Farms in Europe as well as up and coming Hemp Farms ranging from 250 acres to 1.2 million acres.
Most recently Mr. Boone participated in Committees that were the foundation of Oregon Law and now has participated on a Federal Level contributing his experience in Oregon, Colorado, and Washington, (the top three states for Hemp), to creating sustainable solutions for crafting and unleashing the potential of the US Farm Bill.
